Current and upcoming exhibitions

Several art things are going on right now or very soon:

First, I have a piece in a special exhibition at the Leslie-Loman Museum in Soho: Uncensored: Queer Art and the Church will be up at the Leslie-Loman Annex at 127-B Prince Street only through this weekend! See it while you can.

This weekend, Brooklyn Artists Gym has it's Spring Member Salon. My new piece "Reach" will be included in the show. The event is Saturday, March 31, 6-9 pm, and the exhibit will be up in the gallery at BAG through April 16. Visit the BAG website for all the details.

Finally, I will be in a group show at the Rising Arts Gallery in Brooklyn, opening April 28. Mark your calendars! More details about that coming soon!

Find me on Artsicle! (and other art news)

I'm pleased to announce that I have been invited to participate in Artsicle, a new art venture that puts a radical spin on the process of learning about and collecting contemporary art.

In their own words:
"Artsicle is here to help you discover your personal taste in art, from the comfort of your couch. Let us get to know you, as we provide recommendations you're sure to enjoy. When you're ready, you can enjoy your favorite pieces at home, starting at $25/month with our rental program, and purchase any artwork you fall in love with."

So, you can identify works you love, try them out in your home at low cost (the originals -- not reproductions!), and then decide if you want to buy the work. You can also earn credits toward future purchases when you rent.

My painting "Treeform Chiasm" (2009) (pictured below) has just recently rented through Artsicle.

I currently have 11 paintings available on the Artsicle site. Check out the full slate here.

In other news:

Upcoming: Brooklyn Artists Gym's Spring Salon is Saturday March 31! I plan to unveil new work then. Mark your calendars!
