Awakening: Spring Salon at Brooklyn Artists Gym

Join me this Friday, April 23, at the Brooklyn Artists Gym for our Spring Salon, on the theme "Awakening." Here's how the BAG website describes the event:

Brooklyn Artists Gym’s spring salon show reflects on growing into a new awareness as artists and individuals. Colorful, vibrant, complex, simple, bursting, and full: What work comes out of being awake, alert, and alive? Join Brooklyn Artists Gym on Friday April 23rd from 7-10pm as BAG artists and writers discuss their awakenings.

Brooklyn Artists Gym’s Salon Series engages artists, writers, and audience in serious conversation about the work on the wall, the work on the page, and the creative process. The quarterly shows are curated thematically to provoke discussion, spark fresh ideas, and inspire new work. Best of all, the Salons allow a wide range of perspectives and commentary by remaining free and open to everyone.

I'll have two of my recent paintings in the show, which will be up in the BAG Gallery for one week following the Salon.

Brooklyn Artists Gym is at 168 7th Street in Brooklyn, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues near the 4th Ave/9th Street stop on the F-train.
