Artists Display Work Inspired by the Popular Social Networking Site
The TWITTER 140 show debuts at Grandon Art Gallery, Flagstaff, Arizona, with a reception on September 4. The exhibit runs through September 30. TWITTER 140 is a group exhibition featuring a collection of work inspired by Twitter. The group consists of 24 international artists who use Twitter, the social networking service. Coordinated by Florida artist, Sheree Rensel, the group consists of artists working in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
"We have organized a diverse and unique group of artists whose work reflects technology and the use of Twitter," says Rensel. "Twitter messages have to be 140 characters or less. Therefore, all works in our show are 140 square inches or less. The same with each artist’s statement and bio. All contain 140 characters or less."
Designed to be a traveling exhibit, the Twitter 140 show is available through December 2010. All art work is for sale.If you’d like more information about this topic, or to schedule an interview with Gina Gomez, please call 310.800-7470 or e-mail Gina at firstname.lastname@example.org
