Crimes, senseless, barbaric and brutal

The Internet, and every news channel, has been abuzz with yesterday morning's terrible events. Although I don't often agree with the foreign policies of the U.S. or its allies, I agree even less with these senseless, barbaric and brutal acts of terror.

The people who commit such acts are criminals who should be apprehended and prevented from causing further harm. Nothing will bring back those killed, and it will take a monumental effort for the survivors to heal from the wounds, psychic as well as physical, inflicted. Here in New York, we're still healing from nearly four years ago.

The sad thing is that the urge to blind vengeance will be strong, only fueling the ongoing downward karmic spiral. These are sad times we live in, but has any time in human history not been just like this?
