Weather report (spring fever)

While I've been so busy as to forgo my duties to my beloved reading public, mother nature has been ratcheting up the fever quotient. After a perplexing couple of days of rain and mist (warm front pressing in on us from the Atlantic side), it cleared up into one of those truly wonderful spring days! Just in the past week all the ornamental pears -- so common lining the streets and avenues of gotham -- have surged into bloom.

It's days like today when life is magical.

I logged in today to look at my blog, and was pleased to see that the insignificant microbe has evolved into a wriggly worm (see sidebar)! What a thrill. Springtime!
